How to Unzip & Install Affinity Designer Brushes on the iPad

This video shows how to unzip and install custom Affinity Designer brushes on your iPad without the need for a desktop computer or any 3rd party apps.

We’ll also look at how to import a ‘Document’ color palette and save it to an ‘Application’ palette that can be used in any file.

Note : The brush installation instructions are the same in Affinity Photo.

    Hello Nicole,

Firstly I want to thank you for creating an amazing Glitter-and-Foil-Kit-for-Affinity-Designer! When you make the switch over from Adobe to Affinity, there is not a lot of add on products available so I was glad to find you offering one.

I just had one issue after watching the video above: How to Unzip & Install Affinity Designer Brushes on the iPad

I am using Affinity Designer on desktop, and when I open the file called: Glitter-and-Foil-DocPalette.afdesign in Affinity Designer, the only colour swatches that come up are whites, grey’s and black as it is simply reading the colours in the word document and it doesn’t seem to recognise the colour palette which you have build into the document.

Hopefully there is a way I can access the colour palette and get the most use out of the glitter and foil pack in Affinity Designer.

    Regards
    Andru
