It’s the first Thursday of the month, so as promised here is your second issue of the Copperplate Word Practice Guide for Procreate. It includes 8 new words you can trace and then practice on your own in the space provided.
Did you see the first worksheet download? Here is a link incase you missed it. There are a lot of guides available with individual letter drills, but I haven’t seen many that supply word practice as well. I found this to be a big help when getting familiar with balance and space, and wanted to make them available to you.
It’s useful to refer to examples of calligraphy when creating a new piece, even if they are different words to the words you’ll be writing. With these guides easy to access in my Procreate Gallery, I often use them as a way of getting warmed up.
The words in this months issue are : Curves, Elegant, Devoted, Invitation, Quality, Thank You, Georgia & Vivian.
At least one instance of every Uppercase letter will be included over the next few issues.
If you would like to request a particular word for the next edition, just leave a comment below (keep it clean folks!).
What’s included?
- Instructions for importing the files into Procreate
- Eight new Practice Words in the Procreate file
- Black guide sheet
- PNG images of each page
Who is it for?
This word practice guide is for a beginners-intermediate skill of Copperplate. You should have an understanding of the letterforms and spacing.
Requirements
You need the iPad Pro, Apple pencil (or another pressure sensitive stylus) and the Procreate App.
Important Note
Please don’t try and start writing words until you know how to create the letterforms. You’ll do yourself a disservice and most likely get frustrated and give up. If you are not yet familiar with the fundamentals of Copperplate, I suggest you start with my free email series by signing up below. It covers the basic strokes and lowercase letterforms.
Or if you want to immediate access to the complete Guide (including spacing rules, Upper and Lowercase Letterforms) – just click here. This post will be here waiting when you are ready!
