Today I have a real treat for you! We’re introducing a new theme to the blog this year – “Make this with …” sessions! As the name suggests, a guest artist will join us to teach a Procreate mini tutorial.
And our first guest is the incredible Abbie Nurse from Uproot!
You’ve probably heard of Abbie or come across her work before, she is a prolific creator. She’s been sharing her brushes and art for a number of years and was one of a few artists that really stood out to me back in the early days of Procreate. Her work is playful and fun and she has a unique approach to sharing her knowledge that is really accessible.
Today Abbie is demoing brushes from her latest pack, Procreate Print Works – Complete Print Media. She’s going to show us just how easy it is to turn a photo into a retro screen tone image. She’ll also add text and distort the edges to give a really handmade, analogue look.
You won’t believe the enormity that is the Prink Works pack until you see it for yourself, so make sure to check it out after the tutorial.
Abbie was even kind enough to share a free sample, which you can grab under the video.
So without further ado, let’s hear from Abbie.
