Procreate is fantastic for creating beautiful digital art, but it doesn’t have the full 4-channel CMYK capabilities required for specialized printing. For gold foil printing, we need artwork in true 100% black, a feature only achievable with a 4-channel app like Affinity Designer or Photoshop.
If you’re already using Photoshop, you’re all set! And if not, Affinity Designer is my top recommendation. Not only does it give you the necessary CMYK setup for perfect prints, but it also brings powerful vector tools and a host of additional creative features.
