Not too long ago (in a land far away ???? ) I joined Tom Ross from Design Cuts for a detailed walkthrough of Procreate’s 3D functionality. It was a really fun session and I know there were a few people from this community that joined us live, so thanks very much if you came. But in case you missed it, the replay just went up!

I used sparkly, shiny brushes to really show the reflective capabilities!
There was even a learning moment for me when someone watching live helped us figure out how to remove the environment background when exporting. This means the model is on a transparent background so you could use it on any background you like. A very useful tip, so thanks so much for pointing that out Shel!
Make sure you check under the video for a free 3D model of a Uppercase ‘A‘. It’s used a lot in the demo, so you could even follow along or just play around yourself later.

At the time, it was necessary to use 2 different apps to resolve an UV mapping issue. You would first use Nomad Sculpt to create the model and then run it through another app called Forger Classic to fix a UV mapping problem to make the model compatible with Procreate 5.2. Since recording this video, Nomad Sculpt have resolved the UV mapping incompatibility, so the Forger Classic step is no longer necessary!
